Custody Structure
The custody, storage and insurance arrangements ReserveChain intends to put in place for documented industrial-metal lots.
Intended custody model
Verified lots are intended to be stored in third-party warehouse facilities under a documented custody agreement, with warehouse receipts issued at container and coil level so that each unit remains individually identifiable.
Records intended to be maintained
The registry is being built to hold the following custody evidence for each unit, each of which stays in a pending state until the underlying document is approved.
- Custody agreement and counterparty identification
- Warehouse receipt per container or coil
- Storage location, conditions and handling requirements
- Seal numbers and integrity check records
- Insurance cover, insurer and policy period
- Chain-of-custody events recorded over time
Segregation
Custodied lots are intended to be held separately from the operating assets of any ReserveChain entity, so that inventory recorded in the registry can be reconciled independently of the issuer's own balance sheet.
Current status
No custodian, warehouse operator or insurer is currently confirmed, appointed or presented as engaged. Custody fields shown on asset pages remain marked pending until agreements are executed and supporting evidence is approved.
